Diversity and Social Justice

William F. Connell School of Nursing helps the New England Regional Black Nurses Association celebrate its 40th Anniversary.
As a Jesuit, Catholic institution, Boston College is committed to maintaining a welcoming environment for all people. Our nurses address social justice issues by working to ameliorate health disparities that exist between racial and ethnic minorities. We also improve community well-being by building lasting ties with elected, religious, and health care leaders and organizations that reflect our multicultural society. A Connell School diversity advisory board of local and national nurse leaders provides insight and guides the school in sustaining a culture that fosters inclusiveness. In addition, the Connell School of Nursing’s Keys to Inclusive Leadership in Nursing (KILN) program assists students to maximize their leadership potential and prepare for the challenges of providing nursing care in our increasingly multicultural society.
