News and Upcoming Deadlines
Program of Study Deadlines:
In the fall semester, all second year doctoral students (except C&I) will need to submit their Program of Study prior to registration for spring semester. Doctoral Program of Study forms need to be signed by the student, faculty advisor, and department chair. Final approved forms should be submitted to the department office.
All Master's and CAES students who began their program in Spring 2012 or Summer 2012 (except Counseling) will need to submit their Program of Study prior to registration for spring semester. Master's and CAES Program of Study forms need to be signed by the student, faculty advisor, and Associate Dean. Final approved forms should be submitted to the Graduate Office (Campion 135).
The deadline for submitting the Program of Study form for fall semester is Thursday, November 1. If the form is not submitted by the deadline, a registration hold will be placed on your account and you will not be able to register for spring semester.

Master's/CAES Summer 2013 Comprehensive Exams:
Students must register for ED/PY888 and submit the new online registration form in order to be completely registered to take their comprehensive exam requirement.

CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION
The format is a take-home exam and will be distributed on Friday, June 7, 2013. The exam must be submitted no later than 4:00pm on Friday, June 14, 2013. The deadline to submit the Comprehensive Exam Request form is Friday, May 24, 2013.
APPLIED DEVELOPMENTAL AND EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
Comprehensive Exam Thesis Critical Literature Review Proposal and Cover sheet is due to reader April 1, 2013. Submit completed paper to readers by May 15, 2013. Final Revisions (if requested) due back to reader by June 30, 2013. The deadline to submit the Comprehensive Exam Request form is Monday, April 1, 2013.

COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY
The Counseling Psychology Comprehensive Exam (Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling) is only offered in the spring semester. The exam will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 in McGuinn Auditorium 121 from 2:00-4:00pm. Students should complete the Request to Graduate/Comprehensive Exam Request form no later than December 14, 2012.
HIGHER EDUCATION
The format is a take-home exam and will be distributed on Friday, March 22, 2013. Exams due back no later than 10 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013. The deadline to submit the Comprehensive Exam Request form is Friday, March 1, 2013. There will be a Higher Education Comprehensive Exam Information Session on Thursday, January 24 at 6:30pm in the ERC Classroom.

The format is a multiple choice and oral exam. The deadline to submit the Comprehensive Exam Request form is Friday, March 1, 2013. Once the form has been submitted, contact Jillian Gomolka in the ERME Department to schedule your exam.
EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP
The format is an oral exam. The deadline to submit the Comprehensive Exam Request form is Friday, March 1, 2013. Once the form has been submitted, contact the EL/HE Department staff to schedule your exam. Exams are held towards the end of the semester.
ALL TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The Comprehensive Exam requirement will be satisfied by the successful completion of ED431/ED432, Inquiry Seminar. The deadline to submit the Comprehensive Exam Request form is Friday, March 1, 2013.
