lynch school of education
You must have medical insurance while you are a student at Boston College. If you will be covered through someone else's policy, you can log into the Agora Portal and waive your medical insurance requirement (You can find the waiver option under My Services: Account and Personal Information: Medical Insurance. If you do not waive this requirement, you will be charged for the Boston College Student Health Insurance Plan.
Students enrolled full-time (9 or more credits) must submit proof of immunization prior to the start of classes in the fall.
Additionally, Massachusetts law requires all new full- and part-time graduate students in degree-granting programs to provide documentation of receipt of 1 dose of meningococcal vaccine within the past 5 years or sign a waiver form, exempting you from the immunization. All immunization forms must be received at least two weeks prior to the start of classes. The waiver form can be found on the University Health Services website. You can select either full-time or part-time graduate health and immunization forms. The waiver form is at the very end of the memo from Dr. Thomas Nari. Please note that you will be blocked from registration if the either the documentation form or a signed waiver form for the meningococcal vaccine is not received prior to your registration. We recommend you submit the waiver form and then get the vaccine if you wish.
