Professional Development Credit

new teacher academy

As a teacher-participant, you are eligible to receive a professional development certificate to document your involvement in the Academy. This certificate will indicate the number of contact hours that you completed as part of this induction program sponsored by the Lynch School of Education in partnership with Boston Public Schools. If you attend the full conference, you will receive a certificate documenting 15 professional development hours. As the Lynch School of Education is an accredited teacher preparation institution in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you can use this documentation to seek professional development credit from your school or district.

After the New Teacher Academy, you will receive a communication with instructions on how to receive such documentation. In order for the certificate to be processed, you must complete an online professional development survey and document the sessions that you attended. Your professional development certificate will be send via email.
