Meet the Staff
Ashley Carey
Ashley Carey is a second-year Master’s student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Boston College. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and joined ISPRC as a graduate research assistant in the spring of 2012. In her time with ISPRC, she has co-led a psycho-education group for girls at Jeremiah Burke High School that focused on academic achievement, identity, and health relationships. She also serves as a member of the publicity team for Diversity Challenge. Her research interests include examining the effects of racial and socio-cultural factors on mental health outcomes of youths of Color that are at risk for not reaching their full potential. She is further interested in understanding such youths’ self-efficacy in school and community domains.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys drawing, painting, listening to music, and traveling to spend time with family.
