Meet the Staff
Qingyi Yu is a doctoral candidate in the Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology program at Boston College. She came to Boston College from Peking University in China, where she earned her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Fine Arts. She is a graduate student affiliate of the American Psychology Association. Her current research interests involve examining the effects of racial identity and womanist identity on African American and Native American women's body image and well-being. She is also interested in examining the cultural factors on children's learning processes between Chinese, Chinese immigrant, and American children.
In her spare time, Qingyi enjoys traveling, cooking, and doing traditional Chinese art work.
