Meet the Staff
Alesha Harris is a fourth year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Boston College. She received her BA in Psychology from Temple University and a MA in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College. She is a student affiliate in the American Psychological Association, Division 17 ( Counseling Psychology).
Alesha joined ISPRC in the summer of 2008. Her research interests includes teachers' expectations and academic disparities for ethnic minority populations. For her poster, "The Power of Teacher Expectations" she won Division 16's certificate and monetary award for meritorious student proposals at the 2012 APA Convention. Each year, APA Division 16 identifies the top student- authored proposals accepted for presentation during the Division's conference program. Alesha's proposal was part of this select group.
In her spare time she loves trying new food, sports, traveling, and spending time with family.
