ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, APPLIED DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY: The program in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology, Lynch School of Education, Boston College, seeks to fill a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2013. We are looking for applicants with a strong developmental background and an active research program focusing on the study of learning processes. We are particularly interested in research programs, which investigate learning processes and outcomes in relation to educational, family, community, and/or cultural contexts. Consistent with the mission of Boston College, faculty members in our program demonstrate a strong commitment to social justice through their scholarship and teaching. Applicants studying populations living with economic or social adversity in and outside the U.S. are are especially encouraged to apply. A commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students is required. We will begin review of applications on November 1, 2012.
