RE: Cross-list a new course on religion and public education for spring 2012

The following motion was recommended to the Dean on May 11, 2011 by the full EPC Committee and formally approved by the Dean on May 27, 2011. Please keep this notice with your records about LSOE policies, programs, and procedures.

It is moved to approve the proposal to cross-list a new course, “Religion in American Public Schools” (EDxx/Thxx), in collaboration with the Boisi Center for Religion and  American Public Life. The course is most appropriate for graduate students in education,  theology/ministry or other fields who are considering roles in primary or secondary  schools and to advanced undergraduates.
