Each year we host two Open Houses for potential applicants and applicants to come learn more about the UCTC and spend some time with us.  We highly recommend trying to make one of these events if you are able because it helps you to assess if the UCTC is a good fit for you.  If you aren't able, but would like to visit the program at another time, please contact the UCTC office. 

The intention of this evening is to give potential applicants a chance to visit the program before applications are due.  We will host you for dinner at the UCTC residence, give you the tour and answer any questions you might have.  You'll meet our current members and get a better understanding of life in the program. 

Our Winter Open House is February 8 - 10, 2013.  The intention of this weekend is to allow those who have submitted an application for the next academic year the opportunity to come visit and stay in the UCTC residence for the weekend, meet the current UCTC members, and get a brief introduction to the city of Boston.  We will provide housing, most meals, and as much transportation as possible.  You are responsible for your travel costs and one meal/night out in the city.  The weekend offers you the opportunity to interview in person, see the neighborhood and the schools in which we serve, socialize with current volunteers, have fun, and get all of your questions answered.  You will walk away with a good sense of what life is like as a UCTC volunteer.

Please email uctc@bc.edu with any questions or to reserve your spot for one of our Open Houses as soon as possible.  Our Weekend Open House does generally fill up (we are limited due to sleeping space) and we give preference to those who sign up first and also those coming from out of town.
