Urban Catholic Teacher Corps
Though not required of any applicant, a visit to Boston College, the UCTC schools, and the UCTC residence gives potential applicants the greatest sense of what their life will be like as a UCTC volunteer. Three distinct opportunities for visits with the UCTC community exist for interested individuals:
Campus Visit - For individuals considering UCTC after graduation or for applicants who are not able to visit for the Applicant Open House and Interview Weekend, a campus visit at another point in the year may be the best option for you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to setup your campus visit.
Fall Open House, the 2013 Fall Open House is currently full. This event occurs annually in October or November - This evening offers potential applicants a chance to visit the program before applications are due. Current UCTC members will host you for dinner at the UCTC residence, give you a tour, and answer any questions you might have.
Applicant Open House and Interview Weekend, Friday, February 28 - Sunday, March 2, 2014 - The intention of this weekend is to allow those who have submitted application for the next academic year the opportunity to come visit the UCTC residence, meet current UCTC members, and get a brief introduction to the city of Boston. Additionally, the weekend offers discerning applicants the opportunity to interview in person, see the neighborhood and the schools in which we serve, socialize with current volunteers, and get all of your questions answered. Though not required, participation in this weekend allows applicants the greatest opportunity to get a real "feel" for what it is to serve as a volunteer in UCTC.
