Catholic Education: A Journal of Inquiry and Practice is the only peer reviewed research journal in the United States dedicated to advancing scholarship in Catholic education across the K – higher education continuum.  The Journal is published semi-annually (September and March) in an online, Open Access format that provides K – 12 teachers and administrators, diocesan and parish staff, professors and higher education administrators, and parents free access to current research on Catholic education.  Each issue of the Journal contains articles, a focus section on an issue-specific topic, and several book reviews covering a broad range of topics relevant to educators and practitioners in Catholic education, including school governance and leadership, instructional practice, curriculum development, mission integration, and Catholic identity.  Founded in 1997 by Fordham University, Saint Louis University, the University of Dayton, and the University of San Francisco with a grant from the Lilly Endowment, the Journal is supported by a consortium of 17 Catholic colleges and universities.  The editorial offices are currently housed in the Barbara and Patrick Roche Center for Catholic Education at Boston College.
