The Summer School at Boston College in the Lynch School of Education provides a lively atmosphere for enrichment, professional development, and advanced degree study. A wide variety of graduate courses and Institutes are offered throughout the summer in two 6-week summer sessions and a number of two-week Institutes. Summer Session I begins in late May and concludes at the end of June, and Summer Session II begins in early July and runs through mid August. The two-week Institutes are typically offered in the end of June or July and are full 3-credit courses which focus on special topics. Summer classes typically meet in the early evening.
The Lynch School is a dynamic community of learners committed to preparing educators and human service professionals to enhance the life chances of children, youth, adults,and families. Every summer, we serve students from across the country who wish to come to Boston College to enrich their intellectual and professional lives while focusing on some of the most critical issues in society.
The Summer School provides an opportunity for study in a relaxed environment in the beautiful setting of the Boston College campus. Along with academic pursuits, students and their families often participate in recreational activities on campus and in nearby downtown Boston.
