Educational Leadership at Boston College

The Department of Educational Leadership and Higher Education at the Lynch School of Education at Boston College offers a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership The M.Ed. degree program draws candidates from diverse backgrounds, including educators from district, private, Catholic, charter, and international educational settings. The Educational Leadership Program is committed to preparing the next generation of effective P-12 educational leaders. The Program seeks to develop aspiring principals who can provide leadership for learning, create fair and meaningful opportunities to learn for all students, are knowledgeable about standards-based reform and technological advances, and employ evidence-based practices. The Program is committed to preparing school leaders who can collaborate effectively, foster leadership in others, and successfully engage families and community members. We seek to instill in our graduates a deep concern for human dignity, social justice, and responsible global citizenship.
