If students feel they have had the content of one or more of the above five courses, they can petition to place-out of the course(s) and substitute with another, higher-level course. The procedure:
1 obtain a course substitution form from the office of the Associate Dean
2 obtain a copy of the syllabus from the class already taken
3 must have received a grade of A- or higher in that course
4 receive approval from advisor
5 submit completed and approved form to department chair for signature and processing

• Advanced course in Consortium (advisor approval): one possibility here is Dr. Richard Lerner’s course CD243 - “Advanced Research Methods in Applied Developmental Science” at Tufts.
