Newton, MA--Boston College Law School's annual Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) auction will be held in Gasson Hall on Boston College’s Chestnut Hill campus on March 14, 2013 at 6:30 pm.
This is the 25th anniversary of the auction, and tickets to the event are sold out. This year PILF will honor Kevin Curtin '88, Senior Appellate Counsel, Middlex District Attorney's Office. Those who were not able to get tickets to the main auction are invited to attend the silent “Yellow Room” auction with all new items, to be held on March 22 on the Law School campus.
The PILF auction raises money to provide summer stipends to BC Law students working in unpaid, public interest positions. Many of these students would be unable to accept such volunteer positions without PILF stipends. PILF also work with BC Law to help provide loan repayment assistance to BC Law graduates working in the public sector, and to support BC Law students interested in working in the public sector through events, networking opportunities and other programming initiatives.
Auction items this year include gift cards, Red Sox tickets, candlepin bowling for 24 friends, wine tasting, a weekend in Provincetown at a private cottage, a faculty parking pass, dinners, tennis or golf with faculty, a $1750 Barbri voucher, and dinner for four at Dean Rougeau’s house, among many others.
