Newton, MA--On March 2nd, BC Law held its third-annual Diversity Bar cocktail event at the law school, inviting representatives from state affinity and mainstream bar associations to come, mingle with the students, and discuss their perspectives on life after law school.
The event was organized by Alumni Board member for Affinity Groups, Ingrid Schroffner ’95, the BC Law Office of Institutional Advancement, and the LSA Diversity Committee. In attendance were members from the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts (“AALAM”), Boston Bar Association (“BBA”), Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys (“MAHA”), Massachusetts Bar Association (“MBA”), Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association (“MBLA”), Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association (“Mass LGBTQ Bar”), South Asian Bar Association (“SABA GB”) and Women’s Bar Association (“WBA”).
The attendees convened in the Law School Commons to talk and meet with the next generation of lawyers at their respective tables, which held information on bar programs and other membership benefits. The event was again sponsored by WilmerHale LLP, as part of its sponsorship of BC Law Diversity Month.
