1/02/07--BC Law Professor Daniel Kanstroom makes his Broadway debut on January 15, 2007 in "Conversations with Shakespeare" at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater, Symphony Space, 95th Street and Broadway, New York. Together with Cuban-born playwright Eduardo Machado (head of the graduate playwriting department at Columbia University), Kanstroom will discuss the themes of 'Deportation, Exile and Banishment.' He will present work from his forthcoming book about the U.S. deportation system, Deportation Nation: Outsiders in American History (Harvard University Press, 2007).

Interspersed with Kanstroom's and Machado's interviews will be a series of scenes from Shakespeare's plays--portrayed by professional actors--that also relate to these themes. Tickets may be purchased at: http://www.symphonyspace.org/genres/genrePage.php?genreId=4
