Good Wins Teaching with New Media Award
5/22/06—Boston College Law School is pleased to announce that Irene Good,
BC Law Education Technology Specialist and Legal Information Librarian, has
won one of Boston College's Second Annual Teaching with New Media Awards. The
award was presented by BC’s Academic Vice President Bert Garza at the
School’s eTeaching event on May 17.
Teaching with New Media (TWIN) Awards recognize faculty members for outstanding
uses of technology to enhance learning. Through an online submission form, students
have the opportunity to rate their instructors on categories such as innovation
and effectiveness, and to comment freely.
Submissions are reviewed within Instructional Design and eTeaching Services,
and the winners chosen by a committee comprised of faculty, Instructional Design
and eTeaching Services staff, and student representatives.
Awards are given annually during the May eTeaching event, along with special
recognition from the Academic Vice President, and technology prizes for each
of the awardees. Students can nominate an instructor by filling out an online
form.
