New Staff Added to Career Services

1/17/06—The Law School’s Career Services Office has made several key additions to its staff in the past week.

Kassia Davies begins today as a Career Services Assistant. Kasi replaces Kim Decker, who left to attend Northeastern Law School in the fall. Kasi has a background in law firm recruitment and she has worked at Weil, Gotshal & Manges since 2002.

Cara Fineman will join the office on January 23rd as the Assistant Director of Career Services. Cara takes over the position that Kim Gardner held before becoming the Associate Director of Admissions. Cara will be in the Career Services Department full time. Cara graduated from Northeastern Law School in 2001 and worked at the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C.

Later this semester, Marguerite Dorn will join the office as a special International Law Counselor. Marguerite will be here on Thursdays beginning January 26th to counsel students interested in pursuing a career in public international law. Marguerite is a double eagle and graduated from the Law School in 1985. Since graduation she has worked at the Kennedy Center for Human Rights, she has served on the board of a number of international organizations, she directed the International Human Rights Project at Suffolk Law School and she has taught at Loyola Law School as well as Suffolk. Marguerite will begin scheduling appointments with students next week.

"We're very pleased to have Kassia, Cara and Marguerite join us," said Director of Career Services Maris Abbene. "They bring a variety of experience to the office, and they are all enthusiastic and dedicated to helping our students. We're looking forward to having all three of them on board."
