9/09/04—The Boston College Law School Career Service Office recently held its annual Mock Interview Program for second-and third-year law students. Thirty-eight alumni were welcomed back to the campus and traveled from as far as New York to participate in the event, where alumni and students simulate the job interview process in order to help BC Law students better understand what to expect as they enter the workforce.

“The program was a huge success thanks to the dedicated alumni and enthusiastic students,” said Soo Lim, Associate Director of Career Services. “I’m thrilled with the outcome and would like to thank everyone who participated.”

For two consecutive Tuesday evenings, BC law students had the opportunity to refine their interviewing skills prior to the busy fall recruiting season. Each attorney conducted three interviews, devoting the first 20 minutes to interviewing, while reserving the last 10 minutes for constructive critique of each student’s performance and resume. One hundred and eighteen students received mock interviews over the course of the two evenings. This long-standing program has been a proven success in preparing law students for the rigors of fall recruiting.
