Soo Jin Lim Joins Career Services Staff
3/12/04—Boston College Law School is pleased to announce the addition
of Soo Jin Lim to the Law School Career Services Office. Lim will share the
position of Associate Director with Judy Levenfeld starting on March 16, 2004.
"We are very pleased to have Soo Jin Lim join the career services staff,”
said Director of Career Services Maris Abbene. “Her background working
in a variety of legal settings, including both a large corporate firm and a
boutique representing start-up companies, gives her real insights into the latest
trends in the legal profession. She will be a wonderful addition to our team."
Soo Jin Lim received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University and
her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1996. After graduation
from law school, she worked for two years as a Corporate and Bank Finance Associate
at Bingham Dana LLP (now Bingham McCutchen), and then for four years at Lucash,
Gesmer & Updegrove, LLP as a Corporate, Trademark and Licensing Associate
where she represented high-tech and emerging growth clients from start up phase
through sale of the company. During her Northeastern co-op rotations, Lim worked
as a law clerk in many different legal positions--at the Office of the Attorney
General, for the Honorable William G. Young, U.S.D.C. for the District of Massachusetts,
at Bingham Dana and finally at Kotin, Crabtree & Strong.
Soo will work in the Career Services Office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays,
and Judy Levenfeld will be in the office on Mondays and Thursdays.
