EALR Hosts Symposium
12/17/02--The Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review will hold its
annual symposium on Thursday, January 16, 2003. This years topic is focused
on "Twists in the Path from Mount Laurel." Notable speakers will address
the fascinating topic of the tension between providing affordable housing and
ensuring environmental protection.
The Symposium is composed of an accomplished and diverse group of speakers.
Daniel R. Mandelker is a professor at Washington University School of Law, St.
Louis, author of the treatise Land Use Law, and co-author of two casebooks:
Planning and Control of Land Development and Property Law and the
Public Interest. Cecily B. Talbert is a partner at Bingham McCutchen, LLP
and co-author of Curtins California Land Use and Planning Law. Mark
Bobrowski is a professor at New England School of Law and author of Handbook
of Massachusetts Land Use and Planning Law. Robert H. Russell is a professor
at Tufts University and a former attorney with the Conservation Law Foundation.
Jon Witten is president of Horsley & Witten, Inc., member of Daley &
Witten, LLC, adjunct professor at Boston College Law School, and lecturer at
Tufts University Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning.
The Symposium will be held in East Wing Room 120. Refreshments will be served.
