10/9/02--The finals of the Boston College Law School Negotiation Competition
took place on Tuesday, October 8, 2002. The two winning teams will advance to
represent BC Law in the regional competition; team 24 of Allen O'Neil and Ward
Olivete, and team 32 of Patrick Jackson and Ellen King.
"The finals competition went very well," said Director of Advocacy
Programs Alexis Anderson. "We had some very talented students who competed
in a very hard-fought and spirited competition. I'd like to thank our judges,
and the members of the BSA who worked so hard to put this together."
In addition to adjunct faculty member Ilana Hurwitz and visiting faculty member
Reginald Alleyne, the judges panel included Professor Roger Fisher, co-author
of path-breaking negotiation primer Getting to Yes. Fisher consults regularly
on domestic and international negotiations.

ABA regional are:
Team 14 - Ross Firsenbaum and Scott LaFranchi
Team 24 - Allen O'Neil and Ward Olivete
Team 32 - Patrick Jackson and Ellen King

"A well deserved congratulations is due to all the teams," added Anderson.
