2/24/04-Catharine H. Freeman ('98) opened a solo practice in Hartford, Connecticut. She will provide litigation services and handle closings. She remains affiliated with her prior employer Willinger, Willinger & Bucci, PC as Of Counsel to the firm.

2/4/04 -Alan S. Goldberg ('67) presented a lecture regarding privacy and security in health care, including HIPAA Administrative Simplification, to the 2004 Annual Meeting of the Virginia Bar Association, and via audioconference for the American Bar Association that included professional responsibility and legal ethics. He has been admitted to the bar of the State of New York and he has been appointed as the first Substantive Webmaster for the American Bar Association Health Law Section, and as the Health Law Section delegate to the ABA Section Officers Conference Technology Committee.

2/4/04 -Maribeth Petrizzi ('90) was named Chief of Litigation II Section of the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice effective September 2003. Ms. Petrizzi was associated with the law firm of Clifford Chance Rogers & Wells and practiced for five years with the Federal Trade Commission. Ms. Petrizzi resides in Arlington, Virginia.

1/29/04 -Gilda Tuoni Russell ('76) authors Massachusetts Professional Responsibility, Second Edition. The book is Ms. Tuoni Russell's third book and second legal ethics treatise. She is an ethics partner at Holland & Knight LLP. Her practice outside of ethics advice to the firm now concentrates on the defense of lawyers in bar discipline matters and as an expert witness in malpractice cases. She has been a law professor throughout the country and speaks nationally to lawyers on matters of professional conduct.

1/27/04 -Daniel E. Will ('95) has been elected as a Shareholder of the firm Devine Millimet & Branch, Manchester, NH. Mr. Will is a member of the Litigation Department, where he concentrates his practice in Commercial Litigation.

1/16/04 -Joseph E. Mullaney III ('91) joins Boston law firm of Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP as a partner in its Business Department. Mr. Mullaney concentrates his practice in corporate finance, public and private securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.

1/13/04 - Robert P. Fox, Jr., ('90) elected partner of the Boston law firm of Nutter McClennen & Fish. Mr. Fox's practice focuses on a broad range of commercial real estate matters with emphasis on real estate project finance and development.

1/07/04 - Daniel K. Hampton, ('96) was recently elected to partnership at Holland & Knight LLP. Mr. Hampton concentrates his practice in intellectual property and appellate litigation.
