Joseph M. Barich '98 Promoted To Partner

Joseph M. Barich '98 has recently been appointed to partner status at McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd., specializing in intellectual property and complex technology law. “Our significant growth during the past few years has enabled our firm to consistently move the best and brightest talent into greater leadership positions,” said George McAndrews, a founding partner at McAndrews, Held & Malloy. “The long-term service and dedication of our attorneys – many of whom have been with us since graduating law school – delivers great benefits to our firm and clients. Joseph M. Barich primarily focuses on the development of patent portfolios for revenue generation and cross-licensing, including the prosecution of approximately 300 patent applications in the U.S. and abroad. He especially enjoys working with technologies such as wireless and land-based communications systems, networking and internet-related applications, computer and semiconductor devices, and business methods. Barich earned both bachelor of science and master of science degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, and graduated from Boston College Law School. He is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
