Travel by Car
From the south and southeast:
Routes 95 or 24 north to Route 128/95 north to Exit 24 (Newton, Route 30/Commonwealth Avenue). Follow Route 30 (Commonwealth Avenue) east for approximately 4 miles and turn left onto Centre Street at the traffic light at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Centre Street. Continue on Centre Street for 1/2 mile, and the Law School campus entrance is on the left.
From the north and northeast:
Routes 3, 93, or 95 south to Route 128/95 south to Exit 24 (Newton, Route 30/Commonwealth Avenue). To continue, see directions from the south and southeast.
From the east (Logan Airport):
Take the Ted Williams Tunnel into Boston to the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90) west. Continue to Exit 17 (Newton). Continue straight at the end of the exit ramp; the Crowne Plaza Newton hotel will be on your left. Immediately after the Crowne Plaza, turn left; this will bring you around the hotel and over the Massachusetts Turnpike. Take the first right onto Centre Street, and continue approximately 1 mile. The Law School campus entrance will be on the right.
From the west:
Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90) east to Exit 17. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Centre Street at the first traffic light. The Law School campus entrance is approximately 1 mile ahead on the right.
From the Chestnut Hill Campus of Boston College:
Continue west on Route 30 (Commonwealth Avenue) for approximately 2 miles, and turn right onto Centre Street at the traffic light at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Centre Street. Continue on Centre Street for 1/2 mile, and the Law School campus entrance is on the left.
Available parking for visitors at the law school is anywhere between the white lined spaces. An attendant will be available to give you a temporary pass and to show you where to park.
Travel by Public Transportation
We are located on the MBTA/Green Line. You could take the D train to the Reservoir stop. When you get off the train, please walk upstairs and wait for the Boston College shuttle (free) which stops at Reservoir Station at the following times: In the morning, 7:30 a.m., 8:25 a.m., 9:20 a.m., and in the afternoon 2:55 p.m., 3:50 p.m., and 4:45 p.m. . The shuttle bus driver will bring you to the Newton Campus. Exit the bus directly in front of Stuart House, the Law School's main administrative building.
You could also take the D train to the Newton Centre stop and walk to the Law School. We are located at 885 Centre Street in Stuart House, Room M302, Newton Campus. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk. After you get off the train, walk up the steps where you will see several shops directly across from you. You will see the First Baptist Church in Newton on one corner and Liberty Travel on the other. Press any button for the walk signal so that you can quickly cross over to Centre Street. Make a right on Centre Street. Here are a few landmarks: On your left will be a Starbucks, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the CVS Pharmacy, the Tango Mango Restaurant, the Newton Centre Playground, The Greek Evangelical Church, the Trinity Episcopal Church. On your right will be a Brookline Bank, a Citizens Bank and a Common area with benches. You will come to the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Centre Street. Continue on Centre Street, through the residential area. You will see a stone wall and the entrance to the Law School on the left.
You could take a taxi. First, you would take the MBTA's "Green Line" (B Train). It ends at the Boston College T Stop on Commonwealth Avenue. It will be the last stop, no more passengers after this. When you get off the B train at the Boston College T stop, you should see taxi's parked on the same side of the street, near the train stop. The taxi should be between $9.00 to $10.00. Ask the driver to bring you to the Boston College Law School/Newton Campus. The taxi drivers usually drop their passengers off at Stuart House. ***IMPORTANT*** If you decide to take the B line, give yourself extra time. This particular line has many stops along the way.
