On February 24, 2012, the LL.M. class visited the John J. Moakley Courthouse in downtown Boston, home of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The class spent the first half of the visit observing a jury trial in Ozdemir v. Thomas & Betts Corp., a contract dispute arising out of a lease of commercial real estate. The class then met with Judge William Young for a discussion of the work of a federal trial judge.
