Wenjing Peng -- LL.M., 2012
ll.m. alumni profiles
LL.B., East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai, China.
“Although one year is a short time to spend in an LL.M. program, BC Law’s LL.M. helped me enormously. The supportive faculty, friendly community, international exposure and global perspective all contributed to the excellent experience I had here. Meanwhile, BC Law’s location in Boston, strong alumni ties and prestigious reputation create many opportunities for interaction with the Boston Bar Association and other wonderful universities in the Boston area. Whether you want to pursue an American dream or build your own dream, BC Law is a wise choice.”
Wendy Peng earned her LL.B. from East China University of Political Science and Law in 2008. She was a top student in China, earning merit scholarships and winning an award for her combination of academic achievements and contributions to the student community. Following her graduation, she practiced for three years at Zhong Lun Law Firm in Shanghai, doing M&A, public offering, and other international transactional work for financial services companies. She also volunteered her services for the Shanghai Pudong Legal Aid Center, and was active in the promotion of U.S.-China cultural exchange.
Wendy’s studies at BC Law focused on business and commercial law, with a particular emphasis on venture capital and entrepreneurship. She plans to return to law firm practice in China, but also dreams of building her own business. When asked what words others would use to describe her, Wendy ventures the following: “cheerful, enterprising, strong, dignified, self-aware, committed to the community, and possessed of a sense of the times.”
