Kuo-Shuen Chao is currently an intellectual property associate in the Taipei office of a leading international law firm.  Before coming to BC Law, she was an attorney at Lo & Partners in Taipei, focusing on intellectual property law, and a research assistant to a judge of the Taipei District Court. Her long-term goals include helping Taiwanese companies develop better legal brand-protection strategies, in order to enhance their ability to participate in world markets.

In addition to her LL.B. degree from National Taiwan University, Kuo-Shuen holds an LL.M. in technology law from National Chiao Tung University.  While there, she worked as a research and teaching assistant to several professors and wrote an award-winning thesis on conflicts with well-known trademarks owned by foreign investors in China.  She is a person of almost limitless energy and enthusiasm:  throughout her studies she has also organized seminars, publicized student events, edited student newspapers, etc.  Ms. Chao’s BC Law coursework focused primarily on intellectual property and corporate law.
