Advanced Standing Orientation for June Start Students
10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
McGuinn 521 (5th Floor Lounge), Chestnut Hill Campus

Meet faculty and other students. Learn more about the advanced standing program, graduate student life, and Boston College resources.

Parking: Beacon Street Garage levels 3 or 4 (entrance is on level 2) or Commonwealth Garage levels 3-6. Visitor parking rates apply without a Boston College parking permit. Students who purchase and pick up a permit that day can have their parking ticket validated at Student Services.

Three-Year MSW Program Orientation
4:30 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
Gasson Hall 100, Chestnut Hill Campus
Note: Students at the Worcester site are welcome to join this event. They will be notified about a "get to know the Worcester campus" tour.

Meet faculty and other students. Learn more about the three-year MSW program, graduate student life, and Boston College resources.

Please allow extra time for parking since it will be extremely busy on campus. We recommend that you carpool or use public transportation if possible.

This event is optional and is sponsored by the Boston College Office of Graduate Student Life.

The Boston College Graduate School of Social Work Student Collective will host a barbecue to celebrate the start of the new academic year. The entire GSSW community is invited to this annual informal get-together.

Convocation is a school-wide gathering to mark the start of the academic year and to welcome new members of the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work community. Dean Alberto Godenzi, Associate Dean Sveta Emery, and Associate Dean Tom Walsh will recap the school's recent accomplishments and give an overview of upcoming initiatives. Refreshments will be available.
