Leader in Mental Health Services Joins GSSW

Marylou Sudders, Professor at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work

Recent President and CEO of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC), Marylou Sudders, will join the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work this fall as a full-time associate professor of Macro Practice in the Health & Mental Health concentration.

Prior to her leadership position at MSPCC, Professor Sudders was Commissioner of Mental Health for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 1996 through 2003. In recent years, she served as a mental health expert for the United States Department of Justice and was a national panel member for the Behavioral Health Disparities Curriculum Infusion Project, sponsored by the United States Office of Minority Health.
