The Forum on Housing for Vulnerable Young Adults will bring together representatives of agencies with successful housing programs for vulnerable populations from across Massachusetts to discuss who they serve, what type of housing and services are provided, where housing is located, when and how it was established, and why their program is working.

The 137th Commencement of Boston College will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013. The University Commencement, which is attended by all graduates, is held in Alumni Stadium (rain or shine) and will begin with the Academic Procession at 9:15 a.m. and end after approximately two hours. The GSSW is proud of our MSW students who were honored on April 20th at the 2010 Graduate Student Association Awards Banquet.
Abby Schwartz received the Academic Achievement Award for demonstrating outstanding academic excellence, intellectual rigor and scholarship in her studies. Marie Noel and Sarah Williamson both received the Contribution to Community Award for their exceptional commitment to the Boston College community. Alison Quinn received the GSSW School Award for demonstrating leadership and excellence in academic performance and field placement and embodying the values of the Social Work profession. Dwayne Bartholomew received the John Courtney Murray, S.J. Award for his substantial contribution to the betterment of student life and showing great care for others. Jorge Santana, Judivelly Torres and Damian Waite all received the Sr. Thea Bowman Award for their exceptional leadership and/or service to the graduate AHANA community.
