The Forum on Housing for Vulnerable Young Adults is co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Task Force on Youth Aging Out of Foster Care and the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work.
This forum will bring together representatives of agencies with successful housing programs for vulnerable populations from across the Commonwealth to discuss who they serve, what type of housing and services are provided, where their housing is located, when and how it was established, and why their program is working. The 137th Commencement of Boston College will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013. The University Commencement, which is attended by all graduates, is held in Alumni Stadium (rain or shine) and will begin with the Academic Procession at 9:15 a.m. and end after approximately two hours. GSSW student Alicia Mooltrey, MSW '11 was honored with a Boston Neighborhood Fellows Award on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. This award is presented annually to six individuals that are making a difference in their community through unusual creativity, vision and initiative. The Philanthropic Initiative designed this program for an anonymous donor that wanted to recognize unsung heroes and remind others that hope and possibility exist.
Alicia Mooltrey works with the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative and GOTCHA, a youth employment program. She is dedicated to working for grassroots community organizations and is a positive role model, advocate and counselor for youth.
