10:00 a.m. — University Commencement (main ceremony)
12:00–2 p.m.— Graduate School of Social Work Diploma Ceremony
The 136th Commencement of Boston College will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012. The University Commencement, which is attended by all graduates, is held in Alumni Stadium (rain or shine) and will begin with the Academic Procession at 9:15 a.m. and end after approximately two hours. GSSW students honored at Graduate Student Association Awards Banquet
Congratulations to the following MSW students of the Class of 2009 who were honored at the Graduate Student Association Awards banquet held April 22, 2009
The Academic Achievement Award
Kristin French – is given to the student who shows outstanding academic excellence, intellectual rigor and scholarship in his or her graduate studies and/or research.
The Contribution to Community Award
Globe (Peter Chambang, Petra Dankova, Osvail Lazarim Dias, Yanli Liu, Megumi Nakamura) – the student or students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to either the graduate student, School, or Boston College community.
The GSSW School Award
Erin Gerber – the student who has demonstrated leadership and excellence in academic performance and field placement and embodies the values of the Social Work profession.
The "Men and Women for Others" Award
Amanda Perry – the student who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and leadership to the local or global community.
