Students Develop Solutions at Social Innovation Day

New Center Will Lead to Enhanced Geriatric Social Work Training

The Hartford/Gerontological Society of America (GSA) National Center on Gerontological Social Work Excellence has chosen Boston College to be one of the first Hartford Academic Centers of Excellence in Geriatric Social Work.

The Hartford Center at Boston College will be led by GSA Fellow James Lubben, faculty member and director of the doctoral program at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW).  More about the Hartford Center at Boston College »

We invite you to participate in an interactive Online Information Session to learn about our program and ask questions regarding:

  • Curriculum and coursework overview
  • Financial assistance and fellowships
  • Faculty interest and research collaboration opportunities
  • Current student research projects
  • How students balance study, work, and personal life

This online info session will be facilitated by the Program Director, Dr. James Lubben, and by a current PhD student.
