HIV/AIDS Conference 2009

The 21st Annual National Conference on Social Work and HIV/AIDS will be held May 21-24, 2009 in New Orleans, LA. The theme of this year's conference is "Defining the Future of HIV/AIDS Social Work: What is YOUR Vision?" There will be over 100 presentations submitted by AIDS social workers from diverse areas of practice, policy and research.

Commencement

The 133rd Commencement of Boston College will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009. The University Commencement which is held in Alumni Stadium (rain: Conte Forum) will begin with the procession at 9:30 a.m. and will take approximately two hours. The GSSW Diploma Ceremony is held at noon on Burns Lawn.

2nd Annual GSSW Policy Poster Session

Final year GSSW students from the advanced policy courses participated in the 2nd Annual GSSW Policy Poster Session held in Gasson Hall on April 30th.  Students from the Children, Youth, and Families, Health and Mental Health, and Older Adults and Families concentrations showcased policy analyses on posters at the event.
