Advising Center

The Graduate School of Social Work Advising Center is where students can obtain academic and career advising. The Center's goal is to provide students with guidance and information with a focus on integrating the full educational experience from entering our program through graduation and on to launching careers as professional social workers. When necessary the Center staff will refer students to the appropriate person or office at the GSSW or Boston College.

The Advising Center is for current GSSW students only. Prospective students should contact the Graduate School of Social Work Admissions Office at 617-552-4024 or swadmit@bc.edu.

The Advising Center provides guidance to MSW students through:

Location and Hours

The Advising Center is located in McGuinn 221B and is open:

• Mondays and Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Fridays, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m

Appointments can take anywhere from 10 minutes to half an hour or longer, if necessary.
