FACULTY SPOTLIGHT

Student Honors Inspirational Professor

The NASW asked its members to nominate social work professors who inspired them in their careers. Former student Chelsea Funk, MSW'09, nominated GSSW Professor Katie McInnis-Dittrich, Chair of the Older Adults and Families Concentration. Professor McInnis-Dittrich and student Chelsea Funk were featured in the March 2010 issue of NASW Focus.

"Katie is an inspiration to all who know her. She taught me through regular classes and her more subtle, unspoken lessons, what it means to be a social worker. She moved me not only to do my best work but to strive ever harder to become a leader as a professional, community member, and human being."
