The Diversity Committee of the Graduate School of Social Work is dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Diversity awareness is a core value that prepares our students for effective and culturally-sensitive practices when working with diverse populations. Human needs, rights, issues, and solutions are intertwined with culture.
Since 2006, the GSSW has engaged in a continuous process of planning, implementing, and evaluating initiatives aimed at building a community that welcomes and supports persons with diverse identities.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate in our diversity initiative events:
| 2012-2013 | Disabilities |
| 2011-2012 | Spirituality |
| 2010-2011 | Poverty |
