About Us

Honors Program students are not only members of the oldest undergraduate honors organization in the nation, they are also students at one of the premier Jesuit colleges in the world. The Jesuit philosophy of education impacts every student at Boston College, regardless of his or her field of study. Thus, coupled with a world-class management education, members of the Honors Program receive an education grounded in the liberal arts that appreciates the qualities and energies of each student.

The program is unique in that it has two distinct components that interact and depend on each other. Faculty and staff at Boston College, led by Honors Program Director Stephanie Greene, are responsible for the curriculum of the Program while the student members, most of whom are involved in several different aspects of the University, manage the non-academic aspects of the Program. This structure allows students to lead the Program with the guidance of the most experienced faculty of the University.

Opportunities for student leadership in the program are plentiful. The Program is governed by an Executive Board comprised of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. You can find contact information for these officers on the Current Officers page. The Honors Program also features many committees that promote integration among the classes as well as student leadership. Please read more about the work of the different committees by visiting the Committees page.
