Meet the Jenks Class
Class of 2012

Jordan Bolebruch, Carroll School of Management ‘12
Co-Director
Originally from Garden City, New York, Jordan is double majoring in Finance and Communication. In addition to being the co- director of the Jenks Leadership Program, Jordan has been involved with Habitat for Humanity through Appalachia Volunteers and acts as a teaching assistant and peer adviser for both the Portico Program and Interpersonal Communication. Jordan is an energetic person, dedicated to healthy living, she spends most of her free time teaching spinning at the BC Recreation Complex. Jordan enjoys most traveling the world with her family to hike, kayak, and taste the flavors of different cultures.

Luke Lapointe, Carroll School of Management '12
Co-Director
Luke concentrates in Finance and also majors in Communication at the College of Arts & Sciences. He is the Director of Campus Tours for the Student Admission Program and a Teaching Assistant for the Portico Program for CSOM freshmen. He is currently an Analyst with Century Capital Management’s Private Equity group and is pursuing an Analyst position within Investment Banking. An avid BC and Boston sports fan, Luke enjoys playing golf and runs regularly.

Caitlin Axtmayer, College of Arts & Sciences '14
Caitlin is from Wallingford, Connecticut. She is majoring in Sociology with a Women and Gender Studies minor in the College of Arts and Sciences. Caitlin loves to travel and is passionate about social justice and the arts, and is involved in the Global Service and Justice Program and Stylus in addition to the Jenks Leadership Program.

Christina Burke, Carroll School of Managment '12
Christina is concentrating in Finance and Marketing, and minoring in Philosophy. She works at BC’s Office of Marketing Communications and at UBS as a Private Wealth Management intern in Boston. Christina is also a Portico teacher's assistant, mentoring and assisting freshmen throughout their first year college experience both in academic and personal realms. She enjoys being active, and likes to scuba dive, run, and play tennis.

Tom Coburn, College of Arts & Sciences '13
Tom is a Biology and theology double major in the pre-med program. He is from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, is an avid golfer, and a huge Boston Sports Fan. This past Spring Tom Co-Founded Jebbit, Inc., a new online advertising platform that won the Boston College Venture Competition (BCVC) and was accepted into Highland Capital Partner’s Summer@Highland Program.

Kristie Dickinson, Carroll School of Management '14
Kristie is enrolled in the CSOM Honors program, with a major in Marketing and a minor in International Studies for Management. She was born in New Jersey, lived in Indiana, but mostly grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Kristie loves art, creative writing, playing volleyball, and also sings in BC’s only all-female a cappella group, the Sharps.

Ashley Dowd, College of Arts & Sciences '14
Ashley is a Political Science Major, International Studies Minor, and she is also Pre- Law. Ashley is also a part of the Global Service and Justice Program on campus and plans to work with Loyola Volunteers this year.

Luca Ferrara, College of Arts & Sciences '12
Luca is a double major in International Studies and Economics. Originally from Florida with parents from Italy, Luca is a constant traveler. Luca joined the Jenks Program while abroad in Milan, Italy his fall semester of Junior year and represents part of the more experienced Boston College students in the program. He enjoys following the markets, playing piano, and watching soccer. Luca hopes to work in the financial industry after leaving Boston College and has ambitions to live in many countries.

Sarah Gately, Carroll School of Management '14
Born and raised in Marshfield, Massachusetts, Sarah plans to pursue a major in Accounting with a minor in Faith, Peace, and Justice. This past March, she traveled to an orphanage in Kingston, Jamaica and has plans to return again this December. Last year she also volunteered locally through 4Boston, and this year she will do so again through the PULSE program. Ultimately, she plans to pursue her passion of service with her interest in business in the future.

Leah Gilligan, College of Arts & Sciences '13
Leah is from Cincinnati, OH. She is majoring in Biology and Philosophy. She is in the pre-med program and is a Faith, Peace, and Justice minor. She is outgoing, happy, laid back, and hard working. She is very passionate about community service and social justice. Outside of classes and JLP, she participates in PULSE Council and Peer Health Exchange

John Griffin, College of Arts & Sciences '13
Originally from Fairfield, Connecticut, John is majoring in communications and minoring in sociology. In addition to Jenks, he is involved in the Arrupe program, music for campus ministry, and is currently interning with the Boston Bruins. John is passionate about both music and sports. He is looking forward to planning and executing his Jenks service project over the course of the year.

Jayson Joyce, College of Arts & Sciences '12
Jayson was born in Boston and raised in a small suburb in southeastern, MA called Norton. He majors in International Relations (Political Science tract) with a minor in philosophy. He is the president of Americans for Informed Democracy at BC and excited for his Arrupe trip to El Salvador this January. He follows local and national politics closely and is an avid Red Sox fan. He believes there is nothing better than a clean, cheesy joke.

Logan Kirst, Carroll School of Management '14
From Plymouth, Minnesota, Logan is enrolled in the CSOM Honors Program. He plans to concentrate in Marketing and Finance, and a double major in Philosophy. Logan is undecided on a possible career, but is contemplating Law School. His interests include playing football, golf, and the guitar. He is an avid sports enthusiast, and fan of the Green Bay Packers. Logan has loved his experience thus far in the Jenks Leadership Program, and is very grateful to the people he has met and learned from through the program.

Kristy Lyons, College of Arts & Sciences '13
Kristy is enrolled in the A&S Honors Program majoring in Economics and Communication. Born and raised in Huntington, NY, she loves being on the water or at the beach. She is incredibly outgoing and loves meeting new people. Kristy is a very positive, happy person and will rarely be seen without a smile on her face. She is very interested in volunteer work and hopes to incorporate this interest into her career.

Will McCabe, Carroll School of Management '12
Will was born and raised in Santa Monica, California. He is an avid surfer, and other interests include travel, finance, and house music. He studies management, but also philosophy in A&S. He hopes to pursue a career in asset management. Will considers the Jenks program to be a valuable component of his BC career.

Andrew Mitten, College of Arts & Sciences '12
Andrew was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. Andrew majors in History and minors in Economics. He recently completed an internship in the wholesale department of Vilebrequin in New York, NY, and previously interned at a JumarMarketing, a boutique marketing company, in Norwalk, CT. Andrew was a resident assistant for 53 freshman during the 2010-2011 academic year and is currently a resident assistant for a mixed floor of 49 sophomores, juniors, and seniors during the 2011-2012 academic year. He is also involved in the Student Admission Program as a Tour Guide and Panelist, as well as the Women’s Resource Center as a Bystander Educator. He has been a member of Phi Alpha Theta, a National Honor society for students of History, since 2010.

Matt Moran, Carroll School of Management '14
Matt, from nearby Westford, Massachusetts, is considering concentrations in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Hispanic Studies. He is a driven yet easy-going individual who tries to get the most out of every opportunity, whether it is school, a job, or fun. He loves playing sports with his friends and has been attending BC football games for his entire life. Family is also a very important priority, and he constantly looks forward to seeing his many relatives during the summers at Lake Winnipesaukee.

Kevin Murphy, Carroll School of Management '13
Kevin is majoring in finance and accounting with a minor in philosophy. He was born in raised in New Jersey. He likes keep up with current events. He is also passionate about service and spends a lot of time volunteering at a school for children with special needs.

Robert (Reese) Oñate, College of Arts & Sciences '14
Reese is from Fairfield, California. He enjoys Tennis, Water Polo, and anything having to do with technology. He is currently a sophomore majoring in Political Science and Communications. His future plans currently include law school and possibly working in a Lobbyist/PR Firm between getting his Bachelors and his JD. Reese considers himself proud, outspoken, energetic, and loyal. Along with Jenks Reese is a part of the Mock Trial program on campus and lends his time to various service-related activities through other programs. He is very excited to get to work on his Jenks Project and is appreciative for everything the program has provided him with thus far.

Judith Parra, College of Arts & Sciences '14
Judith was born in Passaic, New Jersey but now resides in East Rutherford, New Jersey, near New York City. She enjoys cooking, singing, reading, studying languages, and discovering new music. She double majors in English and Communication, and hopes to pursue a career in law. She looks forward to working with the Jenks Leadership Program this year.

Lauren Pasulka, College of Arts & Sciences '14
Lauren is pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in International Studies. She intends to pursue a career in either law or politics. Lauren was born in Glenview, Illinois, which is just north of Chicago. She enjoys golf and cooking and is involved in the Ukrainian Society of Boston College along with the Jenks Program and is looking forward to starting the second semester of the program.

Audrey Riedy, College of Arts & Sciences '13
Audrey grew up in Albany, NY. She is majoring in International Studies with a focus on the Social Justice and Ethics track. She is also pursuing a concentration in Pre-Medical Studies in the hopes of becoming a doctor. Outside of the JLP Audrey is also the President of the Loyola Hospital Volunteers on campus. Audrey is an avid fan of Boston College hockey, football, and basketball and enjoys playing on a co-ed flag football team in the hopes of winning her own championship cup.

Alex Smith, College of Arts & Sciences '14
Alex is majoring in computer science. She was born in raised in Phoenix, AZ, but LOVES Boston (even the snowy winters). Along with JLP, Alex participates in Peer Health Exchange as a senior health educator and acts as a greeter and day visit host for the Student Admission Program. She enjoys sports, including rowing, volleyball, and basketball, and has a passion for travel. Alex plans to study abroad in Madrid her junior year, and hopes that her future career will allow her to continue to explore new cultures.

Alexander Tingle, Carroll School of Management '14
Alexander is enrolled in the CSOM Honors Program and is concentrating in Finance, Operations Management, and Information Systems. Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Alexander is fluent in French, and has worked for the past two summers as a Project Architect Intern at CIBC Wood Gundy (formerly Merrill Lynch Canada). Honored to be a part of the Jenks Leadership Program, he is also Vice President of the Management Consulting Club, debates for BC’s Fulton Debate Team, and is a member of the Student Conduct Board. He is an active editor of Elements, the Undergraduate Research Journal of Boston College, and serves as Vice Chair of the CSOM Honors Alumni Relations Committee. Passionate about business and leadership, Alexander looks forward to pursuing a career in the Financial Services or Management Consulting industries.
