Nicole Putney | Special Education Coordinator, St. Peter School
Nicole Putney is currently serving as the Special Education Coordinator at St. Peter School in Cambridge. Nicole began her teaching career as the sixth grade teacher at St. Peter and has served this school in many capacities over the past 12 years. Nicole received her B.A. from Merrimack College, double majoring in English and Political Science, and her M.Ed. from Salem State University with a focus on Middle School Middle School Humanities. As the Special Education Coordinator, Nicole enjoys collaborating with parents, teachers, public school liaisons, and administrators to ensure that IEPs are written and goals are met for each participant in the special education program. Nicole works with students in small groups, supporting independent learning and also providing in class support and accommodations as needed.
Having recently attended the Google Apps for Education Summit, she is excited by the idea of the personalization of education through the use of technology. Nicole is committed to developing her leadership abilities, continuing her education, and expanding her teaching experience to make a positive impact in Catholic education.
