Marilynne Smith Quarcoo began her teaching career at the New School for Children. She has served as a multicultural specialist, reading teacher, and a second grade teacher for the Brookline Public Schools. She subsequently served as the K-12 school desegregation (METCO) director in the Wellesley Public Schools. Dr. Quarcoo served as principal of the Cabot Elementary School in Newton. She holds a bachelor of arts in elementary education, a master of arts in educational psychology, and doctorate of philosophy in educational administration from Boston College.
