Meet the Coaches

Janet Palmer Owens served as the chief academic officer of the Boston Public Schools. She has also served as the academic superintendent for Pilot Schools in Boston and as assistant superintendent for K-12 schools. Ms. Palmer Owens was the principal of the Mason Pilot Elementary School. Prior to her work at the Mason, Ms. Palmer Owens was an assistant principal at the middle school level, a guidance counselor at the middle and high school levels, and an elementary school teacher. Ms. Owens is currently serving as an executive leadership coach/consultant and turnaround school specialist.
