Current Position and School: Principal at Codman Academy Charter Public School.

Educational Background: Master of arts in social studies, Teachers College, Columbia University; bachelor of arts in American civilizations and urban studies, Brown University.

School Information: Codman Academy serves 140 students in grades 9-12, with a student population that is composed of 90% black/African-American, 8% Latino/Hispanic, 1% White, and 1% American Indian. Of these students, 68% qualify for free and reduced lunch.

Prior Experience: Thabiti’s prior experience includes serving as academic dean and founding humanities teacher at Codman Academy Charter Public School and as teacher at the International School of Panama.
