Serving Our Community
The Carroll School has a proud tradition of service to our community. In keeping with that tradition and with our Jesuit heritage, all Carroll School graduate students must fulfill a requirement to serve others through meaningful work as volunteers.
Some students fulfill this commitment by serving as mentors or tutors in underserved communities; others provide pro bono professional services to local nonprofit organizations.
Boston College offers a variety of resources to help you find a volunteer opportunity, including a list of community organizations in need of volunteers and a list of volunteer matching services in the area. In addition, every year the University sponsors a Jesuit Day of Service that brings the entire community together to give back.
If you are already engaged in a volunteer activity, check the Community Service Guidelines to make sure your service meets the requirements.
Upon completion of volunteer service, please complete the Community Service Form.
