Simona Giorgi

Simona Giorgi received her BA in Business Administration Magna Cum Laude from Universita’ Bocconi in Milan, Italy, where she wrote a thesis on replication of routines as a strategy to sustain firms’ growth, and a PhD in Management and Organizations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, in Evanston, Illinois. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a consultant at Bain and Company and as a research associate in the Strategy department at Harvard Business School.

Dr. Giorgi examines how organizational actors use culture to affect favorable institutional change. She explores cultural processes of influence in a wide range of settings, from the automobile industry to environmental non-profit organizations, securities analysts, and food movements. She is a member of the Academy of Management and the American Sociological Association.
