Global Enterprise Technology Immersion Program

Dear IS students,

How would you like to spend January to August of your junior year at a well-paid internship at a company like JPMorgan Chase or IBM or General Electric or Bloomberg or Cisco or Ernst and Young and earn 15 credits through course work and emerge with strong knowledge about Global Enterprise Technology?

Boston College has just been asked to participate in the Global Enterprise Technology Immersion Program of Syracuse University.  I have met with the folks from Syracuse and it seems like a very strong and unique program that combines practice and theory in the very important area of Enterprise Technology (basically very large company-wide information technology).

The program begins in January of your junior year and continues into August.  In my mind, it combines a junior semester "abroad" (in greater NY or elsewhere) with a well-paid internship.  To apply you would need to meet the BC requirements for a semester abroad, basically have a 3.2 average and be in good standing.

If you are interested in learning more about this program or have any questions please e-mail me and we'll set up a meeting or stop by my office in Fulton 460 during my regular office hours MWF 2 - 5.

This seems like an excellent opportunity in a very interesting area that is in great demand by major companies and consulting firms.
