Larry Vigus

Larry has been a Theatre and Film professional since childhood. A member of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) as a performer; he has also worked under the contracts of the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE Locals 1, 33 and 44) as a stage carpenter, prop builder, props master, set dresser and art director in NYC and Hollywood.

As the prop designer for all of the Boston College Theatre productions, Larry advises on the student productions as well as conducting the Paint and Props labs and maintaining the theatre’s props inventory. Elsewhere in Massachusetts Larry designed props for Misanthrope, Clean House, Dessa Rose and According to Tip for The New Rep Theater and designed both set and props for Late Night Catechism at The Stoneham Theater.  He recently Production Designed the films Bootful of Fish in NH, and Oxymorons in Boston.

Larry attended Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon University) and the American Academy of Dramatic Art in NYC in addition to studying privately with Salome Jens, Charles Conrad, Tom Troupe, The Groundlings, Second City and Stella Adler.  He has performed guest starring roles on television and film as well as over 100 national commercials and was a founding member of The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble and LA Comedy Sportz; co-founded and operated Los Angeles Arts Repertory Theatre with John Megna; and directed, performed and designed at The Globe Playhouse and other theatres in CA.

Winner of the NH Theatre Award for Best Professional Actor, Larry teaches improvisation, acting and film-making privately to young students and recently appeared in Underdog, Through the Woods, The Proposal, Last Words, Surrogates, and The Last Harbor.
